For end users, the free download system offers a few calculation programs for immediate use, such as intact hydrostatics and stability, Savitsky planing hull resistance, and Holtrop ship resistance. The goal of OpenCalc is to give higher level programming tools and creative solution control back to end users so that they become creators, not simple end users who have to hope that their requests are met by the next release of someone else’s software.
